Every year, the City and County Building in Denver is covered with thousands of holiday lights from November through the following January. In 2011, 9News.com reported that according to Yahoo! Travel Denver’s holiday lights displays were ranked fourth in the nation, including the City and County Building, the Denver Zoo Lights and the displays at the Denver Botanic Garden.

According to DenverPost.com, over 600,000 lights go on from Denver’s Union Station to the City and County Building during the Grand Illumination.
